When should I come to a CMG CareToday?
The best time to visit a CMG CareToday is when you simply can't wait to see your regular doctor. CareToday treats a variety common illnesses and minor injuries. We also provide shorter wait times and never require an appointment or insurance to receive care. That means you get the care you need today, so you can start feeling better tomorrow.
What conditions are treated at CMG CareToday?
At CMG CareToday, we diagnose and treat a variety of common illnesses and minor injuries, such as:

- Cold/Flu Symptoms
- Minor Burns and Cuts
- Minor Injuries
- Pregnancy Tests
- Sore Throats
- Stomach aches

We realize that minor injuries and illnesses don't wait for a convenient time. That's why CMG CareToday makes it easy to get in and out quickly.
If for any reason we are unable to treat your condition due to degree of severity, we will provide you with a recommendation and/or referral (to the nearest Urgent Care facility or Emergency Room) and you will not be charged for your visit to CMG CareToday.
How much will it cost?
With our affordable rates, most visits without insurance coverage cost around $59. If you have insurance coverage and CMG CareToday is a participating provider in your health-plan network, any applicable co-payments, coinsurance and deductibles will apply.
Treatment for conditions such as cold/flu symptoms, stomach aches, coughs, camp/sports/school physicals, sore throats, minor burns and cuts, minor injuries, earaches, and more, are usually around $59. In some cases, you may need additional lab work, medication or vaccinations in which additional fees may apply.
- $10 fee for lab service
- $26 to $85 fee for administering vaccinations; pricing varies based on the type of vaccination being administered*
*Each vaccination also requires an additional $16 administration fee in addition to the price ranges listed above.
Do you take insurance? If so, from which providers?
While insurance is not required to use CMG CareToday's services, we currently work with the following insurers:
- Cigna Members
- Most AHCCCS (Medicaid) plans, such as Phoenix Health Plan, etc.
If you do not see your health plan listed at this time, please give us a call to see if your specific plan is accepted at CMG CareToday clinics. We also provide a detailed receipt for your records in case you need to submit to your health plan for reimbursement.
What forms of payment are accepted?
We make paying for treatment easy. At CMG CareToday, we accept cash, credit or debit cards (Visa, MasterCard and AMEX), and personal checks. We also provide you with a detailed receipt for your records in case you need to submit to your health plan for reimbursement.
About our Practitioners
All CMG CareToday clinics are staffed with a professional and board certified nurse practitioner or physician's assistant who is overseen by a Cigna Medical Group Medical Director.
Is there an age requirement to receive treatment?
At CMG CareToday, we provide treatment to anyone 6 months or older.
What types of lab work do you perform?
At CMG CareToday, we perform a variety of lab work such as:
- Mono Test (blood sample)
- Rapid Strep Test (throat and tonsil secretion swab)
- Pregnancy Test (urinalysis)
- Glucose - Accucheck
- UA - dip Test (urinalysis)
- And More
Depending on the type of test administered, it will more than likely require some form of blood work, urinalysis or secretion swab.
Can I make an appointment?
When you're not feeling well, the last thing you want to do is sit in a waiting room. At CMG CareToday, we offer hassle-free walk in appointments on a first-come, first-served basis - no appointment necessary. Most patients are seen within 15 minutes so you can get in and get out quickly.

If there isn't a CareToday location close to my home or place of work, where can I go for same day care?
Same-day care without an appointment is also available at our three Cigna Medical Group Urgent Care Centers, which are located in Glendale, Phoenix and Mesa. We have wait times of less than 35 minutes and can treat you for more complicated illnesses and injuries. All of our Urgent Care locations are equipped with pharmacy, lab and x-ray services onsite, so you can take care of everything you need less than one roof. Our Urgent Care Centers are open 365 days a year, 7-days a week – even holidays. Cigna customers only pay their usual Urgent Care copay. If you are on another health plan, your copay/deductible may vary. Call one of our health care centers to see if we accept your health plan.
I want to see a doctor ASAP. Where can I go?
CMG CareToday is operated by Cigna Medical Group, a leading group medical practice with trusted doctors at over 20 locations across the Valley. Some of our health care centers have expanded capacity to provide same day care during normal business hours. If you are a Cigna customer, we are happy to see you, just give us a call.
