Join Cigna Medical Group at one of our upcoming community events or activities
Seniors can now receive more help understanding this year’s flu season and who is at risk. CIGNA Medicare Services and Cigna Medical Group are launching an educational series to explain why some seniors are not proving to be as susceptible to the H1N1 virus as once thought, but can become severely ill from the seasonal flu.
The timely seminars will be presented at three locations Valley-wide this November. The first takes place Wednesday at the Sun City West Foundation. Seminars are free. Space is limited. RSVPs are encouraged: 800-592-9231.

Seasonal flu shots are available beginning Sept. 8, 2009 at all Cigna Medical Group and Cigna Medical Group CareToday centers. Seasonal flu shots do not contain protection against the H1N1 virus. Protection against H1N1 will require two additional vaccinations once a vaccine has been approved and released by the federal government.
A seasonal flu shot can be given to anyone who wants to avoid the flu and is over age 6 months. Seasonal flu shots cost $26 at Cigna Medical Group or Cigna Medical Group CareToday. Most CIGNA members will not incur a cost, as this is a covered benefit for preventive care.
