The H1N1 flu vaccination is now available while supplies last at all Cigna Medical Group CareToday locations. To confirm H1N1 flu vaccination availability, please call ahead before visiting the CMG CareToday location nearest you.
Due to limited supplies, the following groups are being prioritized until there is enough vaccine to immunize everyone:
- Pregnant women*
- Those caring for infants under age 6 months
- All children and young adults between 6 months and 24 years old
- Those with chronic medical conditions (heart disease, diabetes, asthma, etc) who are at risk for flu complications
(*Vaccination is especially important for pregnant women because the immune system is suppressed during pregnancy. Pregnant women are more susceptible to infection and the complications of bronchitis or pneumonia and hospitalization.)
If you are not a Cigna Medical Group patient, and you are currently on the priority list, you may visit any CMG CareToday location near you. Appointments are not needed and CMG CareToday is open after work and on weekends.
If you currently are a Cigna Medical Group patient, you may call your primary care physician and set up an appointment with your doctor or your doctor's nurse for your H1N1 vaccine.
A nominal $18 fee does apply to administer the H1N1 vaccine. This cost is covered for most CIGNA health plan members and if you are not currently a CIGNA health plan member, we can either bill your insurance carrier or you can pay with cash, credit- or debit card, or personal check.

Seasonal flu shots do not contain the novel H1N1 virus. A separate vaccination for this strain of flu is available. Click here to learn more about H1N1.
