Urologists at Cigna Medical Group provide expert care for male and female patients of all ages experiencing problems involving the urinary tract. We provide consultation, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for these conditions.
Our Urologists also attend to diseases and conditions of the male reproductive organs. (Gynecologists treat problems of the female reproductive organs). The spectrum of urologic diseases treated includes benign and malignant conditions of the kidneys, bladder and prostate, as well as state-of-the-art treatment of kidney stones, urinary incontinence, infertility issues involving males, sexual dysfuntion, and vasectomies. Minimally invasive therapy for benign prostatic hyperplasia such as microwave treatment is also offered for selected patients. Patients who suffer from kidney dysfunction related to underlying medical conditions such as diabetes or hypertension may also be referred to a Nephrologist (a separate specialty dealing with dialysis, etc.).
Referrals are mainly generated through the primary care physican, however in some cases patients may contact our offices directly for self-referrals.
