CIGNA has named a team of
experienced executives to further its presence
in the consumer-driven health care marketplace. JoAnn
Hoffman, Tom Schulte, John Young and Ana
Sabatino bring extensive experience
in sales, product design and client service,
and market insights that will support the
continued development and growth of CIGNA’s
consumer-driven health care portfolio.

JoAnn Hoffman will
serve as vice president, consumer strategy,
with responsibility for developing consumer-driven
health programs with CIGNA’s national
customers. She brings to this role over 30
years of experience in health care benefits.
Prior to joining CIGNA HealthCare, she served
as vice president and head of account services
for Definity Health and previously held executive
level positions in both administrative operations
and client services during a 23-year career
with Prudential Healthcare. Hoffman will
be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Tom Schulte will
serve as senior vice president of national
accounts sales and client service for the
southeast region. Tom brings to CIGNA HealthCare
nearly 30 years of sales and account management
experience. For the last five years he led
account management and strategy for Definity
Health’s southeast region. Prior to
Definity, Schulte served in a variety of
sales and client service leadership roles
during a 23-year career with Aetna. Schulte
will be based in Atlanta, Georgia.
John Young will
serve as vice president, consumer strategy,
with responsibility for developing consumer-driven
health programs with CIGNA's middle market
customers. He brings to CIGNA HealthCare
more than 20 years of experience in the health
care industry. Young joins CIGNA HealthCare
after serving as Minneapolis office head
and national consumer driven health care
expert for Great-West Healthcare. Prior to
this position, John held employee benefit
consulting and management roles with Marsh
McLennan, and was a founding member of Consumer
Driven Marketing, a Marsh division that served
as a middle market sales agent for Definity
Health. He serves on the Executive Board
of Consumers for Health Care Choices and
as Chair of the Industry Advisory Committee
of the HSA Council. Young will be based in
Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Ana Sabatino will
serve as vice president, consumer strategy,
with responsibility for developing consumer-driven
health programs with CIGNA’s middle
market customers. She joins CIGNA HealthCare
after serving most recently as account executive
for national accounts for Definity Health.
Sabatino brings over 18 years of experience
in employee benefits consulting, sales and
service. Sabatino will be based in Philadelphia,
Pennsylvania.
