CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona Appoints Tom Pedersen to Regional Director of Sales

CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona announces the appointment of Tom Pedersen to regional director of sales responsible for all sales, service and community relations efforts in the Tucson marketplace.

“Tom will be responsible not only for the recently acquired membership from United Healthcare, but all sales and account management in Tucson,” said Frank Benedetto, vice president of Sales for CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona. “Tom will help to better align our commitment to establish CIGNA HealthCare as a leading health plan in Southern Arizona.”

Pedersen, a long-time Tucson resident, joins CIGNA HealthCare from PacifiCare where he managed government sector sales and service activities for several large municipalities. Prior to working for PacifiCare he was vice president of Southern Arizona Business Development at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Tucson.

Pedersen is a former board member of Pima County Medical Society Foundation, American Red Cross and the Wellness Council of Arizona.
