CIGNA HealthCare Midwest Names New President and General Manager

CIGNA has named Sue Podbielski as the new president and general manager for its health care operations in Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Minnesota. Based in Chicago, Podbielski is responsible for the midwest region, where she will lead sales, new business development, producer relations and product and service innovation for the area that includes approximately 700,000 medical and specialty product members.

Prior to joining CIGNA, Podbielski was vice president for WellPoint and general manager for UniCare’s large group business unit with responsibility for the direction of product development, marketing, training and sales operations, as well as the management of the UniCare commercial operation for the Group Insurance Commission located in Boston.
