CIGNA.com debuts new look, features, structure
On Tuesday, January 2, 2007, CIGNA publicly
launched its redesigned flagship web site, CIGNA.com.
The redesign represents an important step
forward in enhancing our technology and communications
to promote consumer engagement, health advocacy
and the effective delivery of information.
The new site features a
number of enhancements, including:
- A redesigned look and feel
- Improved navigation and more intuitive
site architecture, making it easier to
use
- A new Health & Money section
for members, which provides tools and information
to support the health care and treatment
decision-making process
The redesign was developed with a user-centered
approach to ensure that the layout and navigation
are intuitive; that the arrangement of content
meets the needs of users; and that high-use
pages and forms are easily and quickly found.
The pages for brokers and consultants were
designed based on focus group participation
and prototype workshops to address your needs
and perspectives. For you this translates
into easily accessible information directly
from the homepage and a variety of resources
designed to simplify doing business with
CIGNA.
In the updated “Customer
Care for Brokers and Consultants” section,
you will find:
- Information for small groups by state
- Producer Communications – such
as Alerts and our monthly Producer Newsletter,
with links to previously released issues
- The information you need to do business
with us (licensing, commissions, etc.),
and
- A full sales contact list by state

We are also redesigning our member portal, myCIGNA.com,
which will launch during the first quarter
of 2007. myCIGNA.com will
feature of a number of important enhancements,
including:
- More intuitive site architecture that
provides easier access to information through
centralized locations, like the Member
Center, Settings and preferences, and My
Accounts
- Enhanced functionality that improves
searches and enables claim status, amount
paid from health fund accounts and accumulations
toward deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums
and lifetime maximums to be displayed in
a simple and easy to read way.
- A redesigned look and feel that is consistent
with the CIGNA.com site
