CIGNA Launches Enhanced Personal Health Record
Medical and pharmacy claim data can now be automatically recorded

Keeping track of important health history information just got easier thanks to our newly enhanced electronic Personal Health Record (PHR). Individuals can now choose to have medical and pharmacy claim data as well as lab results automatically recorded and stored in a confidential online record, enabling them to maintain a complete view of their health care history. Individuals can get even more out of their PHR by adding information about themselves not available from claims data – like allergies, over-the-counter medications, blood type and more.

Web-based service helps individuals find and get the benefits programs for which they qualify

CIGNA Senior & Retiree Services is joining forces with the National Council on Aging (NCOA) to make NCOA’s BenefitsCheckUp^® available to CIGNA’s Medicare members. The program helps identify federal, state and local benefits programs that can help enhance the quality of seniors’ lives.

CIGNA to Offer Expert Online Second Medical Opinion Services Through e-Cleveland Clinic
During this multi-year trial, pilot participants can ask about 700 conditions via a secure online connection

A second opinion from a trusted source can be a good idea, especially when faced with a life-threatening or life-altering medical condition. Beginning this summer, CIGNA will offer the employees and dependents of a select group of its employer clients access to online second medical opinions from physician specialists, from the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic’s MyConsult service. During a multi-year trial, participants will be able to use MyConsult to ask about any of 700 serious conditions via a secure online connection.
