Boughey Named CIGNA HealthCare President and General Manager for Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin

CIGNA HealthCare has named Patrick Boughey as president and general manager of its operations in Illinois, Indiana, Minnesota and Wisconsin. In his role, Pat is also responsible for Iowa and North and South Dakota.

"Pat has the experience, leadership and vision to deliver health care benefits that will help improve health, lower costs and engage consumers throughout Illinois, Indiana Minnesota and Wisconsin," said CIGNA HealthCare Regional Vice President Edgar Miranda. “His extensive knowledge of employee benefits, combined with a deep understanding of this region’s health care landscape, means that he will work effectively with both customers and health care providers to achieve better and more affordable health care solutions."

Boughey most recently served as a senior sales leader for CIGNA HealthCare, where he led the strategy, business development, service and account management for a wide range of customers in Chicago and surrounding area markets. His background also includes a variety of operational, sales and leadership positions in Chicago with employer benefits consulting firms Mercer Health and Benefits and Aon Consulting. Boughey had begun his career with CIGNA in sales and account management more than 20 years ago.

Boughey holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and is a graduate of the Advanced Management Program at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He will be based in CIGNA's office in Chicago, Illinois.
