CIGNA Launches Enhanced Personal Health RecordMedical and pharmacy claim data can now be automatically recorded Keeping track of important health history information just got easier thanks to our newly enhanced electronic Personal Health Record (PHR). Individuals can now choose to have medical and pharmacy claim data as well as lab results automatically recorded and stored in a confidential online record, enabling them to maintain a complete view of their health care history. Individuals can get even more out of their PHR by adding information about themselves not available from claims data – like allergies, over-the-counter medications, blood type and more. Accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week on mycigna.com, the Personal Health Record provides accurate and specific clinical information that can be shared with doctors, family members, or other caregivers to assist in tracking and managing care. It can reveal duplication of care, gaps in preventive services and indicate the need for follow-up and education. It will also alert individuals to potential negative medication interactions.
