CIGNA HealthCare Expands
Voluntary Product Portfolio
Fundamental Care to
Bridge the Gap between Limited-Benefit
and Traditional Major Medical Plans
CIGNA HealthCare is dedicated to helping
the working uninsured by offering an industry-leading
suite of voluntary health insurance products
and services. This suite is expanding with
the launch of Fundamental Care, a plan
that gives employers the ability to provide
substantial benefits to employees who are
ineligible for, or do not have access to,
traditional major medical coverage.
Fundamental Care is available to companies
with 51 or more eligible employees. It
is designed to be 25% – 40% less
expensive than traditional major medical
coverage.* Fundamental Care has maximum
coverage levels up to $100,000 per year
and only requires a minimum of 25% employer
contribution. A flexible design allows
plans to be tailored to match the exact
price point and benefit levels that meet
the financial and medical needs of the
workforce.
Companies can offer Fundamental Care to
all employees as the core medical plan;
to a selected class of employee within
the entire population; or to employees
during their service waiting period until
they are eligible for the company-sponsored
major medical plan.
We have created a reference
sheet with more information on Fundamental
Care for your convenience. To learn more
