CIGNA HealthCare
Establishes New Unit Focusing on Individuals
and Small Businesses
CIGNA HealthCare recently announced
that it has formed a new unit to focus
on individual and small businesses. William
Roth has been named as president of the
Individual and Small Business Markets
Segment, where he will be responsible
for all products and services for both
individuals and companies with fewer
than 50 employees.

the services we offer to our customers
and grow our business with both individuals
and small businesses,” said David
Cordani, president of CIGNA HealthCare. “His
extensive knowledge and experience in
these areas make him an ideal addition
to our leadership team.”
Roth has more than 20 years of industry
experience, including work at Deloitte & Touche,
Blue Cross of California, WellPoint and
Aetna. He recently held the position
of senior vice president of consumer
markets at Aetna. He earned both his
B.S. and M.B.A from Indiana University.
He is a member of the board of trustees
for the Bushnell Center for the Performing
Arts in Hartford. He lives in Avon, Conn.
with his wife and two daughters.
