Experienced Local Leadership

Jeff Terrill, Regional Vice President, West Region
Jeff Terrill joined CIGNA HealthCare in November 2000 as the Southwest Region chief operating officer before assuming the president and general manager of CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona positionin 2001. In 2004, Terrill assumed a regional role and is currently responsibile for middle market segment profitable growth for CIGNA's West Region with primary markets including Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, Pacific Northwest, Northern California and Southern California.

Prior to joining CIGNA HealthCare, Terrill was the president and chief executive officer for Scottsdale Physician Hospital Organization Inc. in Arizona, for four years. His background also includes general management, regional health services and medical operations, underwriting, marketing and sales experience while working for Aetna Life and Casualty Inc. for 12 years.

Terrill graduated with a bachelor's of science degree in Business from the University of Colorado in 1984. Jeff is a member of the Board for The Boys and Girls Club of Metropolitan Phoenix and, Patron Member of UMOM Newday Center and a board member of Nighthhawk Radiology Holdings, Inc. He is a former advisory board member of IntelliClaim Inc. and Adesso Healthcare Technology Services Inc.

Frank Benedetto, Vice President of Sales, Middle Market
Frank Benedetto is responsible for sales leadership and management for middle market (250-5000) in Arizona. Benedetto joined CIGNA HealthCare in 1996 as a sales manager, responsible for Southern Arizona, Utah and Las Vegas. In 1999 he was promoted to executive director for CIGNA HealthCare in Tucson, overseeing sales and operations for the Tucson health plan. Most recently, he was the new business sales manager, responsible for new health plan sales to businesses with 50 or more employees in Arizona.

Prior to joining CIGNA HealthCare, Benedetto served as an account executive for PARTNERS Health Plan, a division of HealthPartners of Arizona. He has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience. Benedetto graduated from the University of Arizona with a bachelor's degree in operations management. He is a non-resident board member of the Boys and Girls Club in Tucson.

Kurt Weimer, President, Individual, Small Group and Select Segments; President, Onsite Health / Cigna Medical Group
Kurt Weimer serves as president of CIGNA HealthCare's Individual, Small Group and Select Segments bringing solutions to employers with fewer than 250 employees. In this role, he is responsible for growth in this pivotal segment. He has oversight for quality, service, medical management, network contracting and distribution nationally, including integration of the former Great West organization, acquired by CIGNA in 2008.

Mr. Weimer also heads the company’s Onsite Health division which designs, builds, staffs and manages employer-sponsored onsite pharmacies, health centers and other health services that help to improve the health, well-being and productivity of individuals.

Also under Weimer’s direction is Cigna Medical Group, a leading multi-specialty group practice in Phoenix which provides primary, specialty, urgent and convenience care, as well as pharmacy, laboratory, radiology and population health management to over 150,000 patients annually.

Weimer joined CIGNA in January of 1980 and has held numerous executive positions including most recently president and general manager of CIGNA's healthplan operations in Arizona and Nevada, and previously geographic market leader for CIGNA HealthCare’s East Region where he was responsible for overall business operations in 30 markets. He has managed and developed sales organizations and health services teams, managed care networks and held senior level positions for the last 25 years.

He is on the Board of Directors of the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce and the American Diabetes Association-Arizona Chapter. Weimer received his BS in Political Science from the University of Northern Arizona with a minor in Accounting/Management.

Chris Hogan, Vice President of Sales, Small Employer Segment
Chris Hogan is vice president of sales for smaller employers (2-250) in Arizona and Nevada. Hogan oversees CIGNA HealthCare’s sales operations and directs all activities associated with the growth and retention of the health care business for this market segment.

Hogan began his career with Great-West in 1989 as a sales executive in the Washington DC sales office and most recently served as regional sales director for the company, which was recently acquired by CIGNA. While at Great-West, he demonstrated his strong sales abilities with numerous awards for top sales performance. Hogan transferred to Phoenix in 1995 as a producing manager and was promoted to regional sales manager shortly thereafter. Under his leadership, the Phoenix sales office was a consistent leader in new and renewal sales.

A longtime Phoenix resident, Hogan is involved in various charitable programs in the community, including Special Olympics and Welcome to America, a program that helps refugees get settled in the Valley.

Robert Matura, Vice President of Sales, Medicare, Small Group and Individual Product Lines
Robert Matura is the Vice President of Sales for CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona’s Medicare Advantage product lines, HMO Group Retiree product line, Small Group (2-50) product line and the Individually Underwritten product line. Matura has over 13 years of experience in the health care industry leading different products lines including Small Group, Medicare and Individual. Throughout his career, Matura has successfully created and led multiple distribution channels to continually drive profitable growth.

Within CIGNA, Matura is responsible for sales, marketing, product, pricing and distribution for the Medicare, Small Group and Individual products. His sales teams utilize a variety of distribution channels to maximize results while ensuring compliance with CMS and the DOI.

Prior to joining CIGNA, Matura worked for PacifiCare for seven years holding a variety of leadership positions. Matura has a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Rollins College.
