Great-West Healthcare is now part of CIGNA

By now you have heard that as of April 1, 2008, Great-West Healthcare is part of CIGNA.

You will begin to see printed materials and communications that include the Great-West Healthcare name along side the CIGNA name and logo. As we continue to integrate our organizations, we will offer enhanced services that can improve the health and well-being of your CIGNA and Great-West Healthcare patients.

We value your participation with us and want to assure you that we are focused on preserving service quality and minimizing disruption. We will continue communicate with you as more information is available.

Please continue to follow all the policies, processes and procedures that you currently use. At this time, there are no changes to:

  • Claims addresses and electronic data interchange (EDI) payer identification numbers;
  • Verifying eligibility and benefits, checking claim status, or submitting precertification requests;
  • Member benefits and programs: plan design, health improvement programs, and networks;
  • Member ID cards; and
  • Provider service telephone numbers and contacts.

The participant ID card identifies the appropriate contact information for all inquiries and requests. For additional information, continue to use the websites and contacts that you have previously been using for CIGNA and Great-West Healthcare:
