Medical Shared Administration Repricing Program

CIGNA's Shared AdministrationSM: Repricing (SA-R) program enables self-administered Trust Funds, Federal Plans and TPAs to access a subset of CIGNA's national PPO network discounts, care management programs and web-based member tools. CIGNA's SA-R product includes the following features:

  • Provider network. Seamless, national access to more than more than 1 million In Network provider locations. As a participant of the Shared AdministrationSM Plan, members have access to a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) network that includes hospitals, physicians, and many specialty providers such as hospices and home health care providers.
  • Inpatient hospital and sub-acute facility Pre-Admission Certification & Continued Stay Review. Our pre-certification program is designed to ensure that patients receive the right care, in the right setting, at the right time.
  • Case Management. CIGNA's registered nurses work with the members, hospitals and physicians to monitor and manage care provided to those patients who need help the most - the critically or chronically ill or injured.
  • Maternity Management. This voluntary program works to achieve a healthy outcome for both mother and baby. Members receive valuable pre-natal guidance and are given access to a toll-free 24-hour-a-day, 365-day-a-year answer line. A high-risk maternity screening is also conducted through this program and when necessary, maternity and prenatal care is subsequently coordinated and supported through a Case Management nurse to increase the likelihood of a healthy delivery for mother and baby.
  • 24-Hour NurseLine and Support Programs. Members can get answers to medical questions 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This toll-free line also provides direction to the type of care that best suits the symptoms and situation, and often provides an alternative to the emergency room when appropriate.
  • Centers of Excellence & Organ Transplant Services. "Centers of Excellence" is a term used for recognizing the highest performing providers of a particular service.   • Web-based tools. Through the provision of member-friendly webtools, CIGNA provides information and resources to help you improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle as well as enhance your ability to be a better and more efficient consumer of health care services. All CIGNA Shared Administration members have access to helpful web tools, available through the link below. Your Plan contacts or member literature should provide a password to enable your access.
