I have seen people die of lifestyle related diseases so I am looking forward to the challenge of inspiring others to change. I remember hearing things growing up such as "I don't want to live to be 100 years old! I want to enjoy my life right now, and I enjoy smoking/eating fast food/etc" But what we have seen is that the body can still function somewhat when we don't take care of it, and doctors can give you a pill to fix your ailments, but the quality of life after years of abuse is depressing. I don't want to have to take ten different pills to make it through the day because I chose bad habits over my own health. So I have made a commitment to myself that the quality of life and the quality of my body is more important than the instant gratification of a fast food hamburger, a cigarette, or laying on the couch all day.
Why a healthy lifestyle is important
Because it feels good, and because I have a daughter who deserves for me to be healthy and for whom I want to be healthy and active for.
One piece of advice to help others live a healthier life
Make being healthy a priority and place a high value on the quality of your mind and body. Your body takes care of you, so take care of your body. Don't take your body for granted!
