CIGNA Dental Care is a managed (or prepaid) dental care plan. CIGNA Dental Care provides dental benefits through a network of dentists who receive compensation in a variety of ways including, but not limited to, fixed monthly payments and patient charges.

Compensation
Network general dentists’ compensation consists of fixed monthly payments (capitation), patient charges (copayments), office visit payments and supplemental payments for certain covered procedures. Network specialists are paid based on a reduced fee schedule.
