Sodium oxybate is in the FDA pregnancy category B. This means that it is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant during treatment.
How should I take sodium oxybate?
This medication comes with patient instructions for safe and effective use. Follow these directions carefully. Do not allow anyone else to use your medication.

Symptoms of a sodium oxybate overdose may include extreme sleepiness or confusion, fainting, vomiting, sweating, difficulty breathing, muscle weakness, slow heartbeat, or seizure (convulsions). What should I avoid while taking sodium oxybate?Sodium oxybate must not be taken with other drugs that are used for sleep or sedation.
What are the possible side effects of sodium oxybate?
