Chlorhexidine Mouthwash for Thrush

Chlorhexidine (Peridex) mouthwash can prevent thrush in people who are taking medicines that impair the body's natural defense (immune) system.

Chlorhexidine can cause staining of the teeth and the inside of the mouth, especially the tongue.
