Ectopic Pregnancy

An ectopic pregnancy happens when a fertilized egg starts to grow somewhere other than the uterus, usually in a fallopian tube. (It's sometimes called a tubal pregnancy.) It can cause life-threatening bleeding, so it needs to be ended quickly.
