Enterovirus

Enteroviruses, such as Coxsackie viruses and echoviruses, live in the intestines of humans and other animals. While enteroviruses usually do not cause illness, they may under certain circumstances.

Infected people pass the viruses to each other through contaminated food, water, or objects.
