Other Conditions With Symptoms Similar to Sjögren's Syndrome

Sjögren's syndrome is a disease in which the immune system attacks the body's moisture-producing glands. The most common symptoms are dry eyes and mouth. Several other health conditions can have symptoms similar to Sjögren's syndrome, including:¹

• Infections, including influenza, mumps, and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).
• Sarcoidosis.
• Tumors.
• Diabetes.
• Dehydration.
• Radiation treatment in the past to the head and neck.
