Sealant

A sealant is a clear or white liquid plastic that may be applied to the grooves and pits on the chewing surfaces of the back teeth. The sealant hardens on the teeth and helps protect them from decay.

Sealants can be used in children, starting at about age 6, and in teens and adults.
