Somatization Disorder

Somatization disorder is sometimes diagnosed when a person complains of many chronic symptoms for which there appears to be no physical cause.

The symptoms feel—and are—very real to the person. Counseling may be helpful to determine whether symptoms are caused by an emotional problem.
