Concerns Of Police Survivors, Inc. (COPS)
National. 52 chapters. Founded 1984. Provides resources for the surviving families of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty according to Federal criteria. Also offers law enforcement training. Quarterly newsletter, departmental guidelines and peer support. Provides annual national Police Survivors Conference each May during National Police Week. Special hands-on programs for survivors. Summer camp for children (ages 6-14) and their parent/guardian, parents' retreats, affected co-worker retreats and spouses get-away. Outward Bound experiences for young adults (ages 15-20), siblings retreat, adult children and in-laws, fiance/significant other and co-worker retreat.

Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors (TAPS)
National network. Provides support for persons who have lost a loved one while serving in the armed forces (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, National Guard, Reserves, Service Academies, Coast Guard and contractors serving beside the military). Offers networking, crisis information, problem solving assistance and liaison with military agencies. Also has regional and national seminars and youth camps.

Grief Recovery Online - Widows and Widowers (GROWW)

National Fallen Firefighters Foundation Survivors Support Network

Provides emotional support to spouses, families and friends of firefighters who have died in the line of duty and are honored at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, MD. Members are matched with survivors of similar experiences to help them cope during the difficult months following the death.
