Writer's (Work-Related) Cramps

Writer's cramps develop with repeated hand or finger motion, such as writing or typing. Pain usually becomes more severe with ongoing use of the repeated motion.

Writer's cramp may ease if the person takes frequent breaks from the repetitive motion. Other steps that may help are changing the motion, the hold, or the writing or typing tool itself.
