CIGNA's Life Assistance Program is designed to supplement our protection of your physical self with services designed to help protect the rest of you.
We'll provide you with support when you need it most . CIGNA's Vocational Rehabilitation helps return you back to work. It's not easy to deal with a long-term disability, even for the most ambitious, motivated individual. Because CIGNA understands the obstacles you face when an injury or illness changes how you live and work, we provide Vocational Rehabilitation services to help identify your interests, skills and capabilities. Together, we develop a return to work plan to help get you back to your previous job or, if necessary, a modified or alternative occupation. When you're covered by a CIGNA disability plan, these services are available to you.
We'll guide you through the Social Security claims process. Our Claim Managers will review your claim to determine if you may have the potential to receive Social Security Disability Income benefits. If so, they will refer you to an external company specializing in obtaining Social Security benefits.

How do I report a claim?
You can report your claim by phone, fax, web or mail. We make it as easy as possible to begin the process. You may check the status of your claim by logging into myCIGNA If you do not have a registration ID and password, you will need to register for one before accessing your claim information. Please wait 48 hours from the time you filed your claim before checking the status of your claim.
Are there any other programs I should know about?
