Thank you for your interest in CIGNA. We know you have an important healthcare decision to make this fall and we hope that you choose us.

CIGNA offers an HMO plan that works much like your Kaiser plan, as well as three other plan options for SHBP active employees. For Medicare-eligible SHBP retirees, CIGNA offers two Medicare Advantage plan options. We encourage you to explore these options to see which plan is best for you.

Active Employees

With CIGNA, you get:

• Four plan options, including a familiar HMO plan.
• Over 95% of Kaiser community doctors are also in CIGNA's network.
• Over 6,000 health care providers in the metro Atlanta area, plus over 15,000 statewide.
• Access to our national network. So you're covered, even when you are traveling. Plus dependents such as children attending college who live elsewhere in the U.S, are covered as well.
• Access to over 150 hospitals statewide, more than 25 in the metro Atlanta area, including Kaiser's contracted hospitals: Piedmont, Northside and Dekalb.
• Our Open Access Plus network. That means no referrals are required to see a specialist.

Please note: If you choose the CIGNA Choice Fund HRA plan, no further action will be needed on your part. As SHBP has communicated, you will be automatically enrolled in the CIGNA Choice Fund HRA plan if you do not make an enrollment selection this fall. However, if you would like to enroll in a different CIGNA plan, you'll need to complete the SHBP online enrollment process.

Medicare Eligible Retirees

For Medicare-eligible SHBP retirees, we offer CIGNA Medicare Access Plus Rx^® plans. These are Medicare Advantage Private Fee-for-Service (PFFS) medical plans that include Part D prescription drug coverage. More than 10 million Americans are in a Medicare Advantage Plan today - and growing!.
