President, Cigna International Markets
Jason Sadler is the President of Cigna’s International Markets business. Based in Hong Kong, he leads this rapidly growing division of the Cigna Corporation, with over 16,000 employees, serving both individual customers and employer groups across the globe.
Since July 2010, Sadler has been responsible for leading the Group’s mission to help improve the health, well-being and sense of security for more than 10 million individual customers in over 200 countries and jurisdictions, including parts of the US. Over the past five years under his leadership, the International Markets business has doubled in size.
In his role, Sadler also manages the development and growth of the business into new markets and service areas. He has successfully led market entries into India and Turkey, two key growth markets for Cigna.
With over 25 years’ experience working in the insurance industry, Sadler has developed Cigna’s offering, spanning a diverse range of solutions, and specifically Cigna’s Global Individual Private Medical Insurance business for high-net-worth globally mobile individual employees and retirees. As part of his role, Sadler also oversees partnerships with a wide range of employer groups.
Prior to joining Cigna, Sadler was Managing Director, Insurance Business Hong Kong for HSBC. During this time he led HSBC’s largest and most complex insurance business to be number one in all four business lines (Life, Retirement Benefits, General Insurance and Group Medical Insurance) for the first time in its history.
Sadler held a wide variety of roles during a 16 year tenure with HSBC and gained experience working in North America, South America and Europe. Prior to HSBC, he worked in the United Kingdom with Axa Insurance and Zurich Financial Services. Sadler graduated from Swansea University with a degree in Business Studies (BSc).
