Christopher DeRosa

President, U.S. Government, Cigna Healthcare

Christopher DeRosa is President, U.S. Government, Cigna HealthcareSM, where he leads our U.S. Government portfolio – including Medicare Advantage and Individual & Family Plans (IFP) – which are well-positioned for accelerated growth. Chris is a member of The Cigna Group’s Enterprise Leadership Team.

Prior to his current role, Chris served as President of Cigna Healthcare’s U.S. Commercial National Accounts Segment and Broker Exchanges. In this role, he ensured the creation of value for Cigna Healthcare’s largest employer clients, workforces, and their families.

Chris is a highly experienced leader, with a career that spans more than 30 years at The Cigna Group. His first role was in 1992 in Southern California. Over the years, he excelled in a variety of sales and sales reengineering and leadership positions. Chris transitioned to the company's Connecticut Headquarters in 2002 to create advanced customer reporting and analytics capabilities. He also served as the Senior Vice President of the Government, Taft-Hartley and Payer Segments, where he led the development of these segments’ business strategies and effectively implemented initiatives to deliver new solutions and capabilities that drove considerable growth and earnings.

Chris received his BA in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles and his MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
