WILMINGTON, Del., September 25, 2014 - For the third time in four years, Cigna Global Health Benefits® (NYSE: CI) won the 2014 International Employee Benefits Provider of the Year award, which recognizes overall excellence in the field of expatriate insurance. The award, presented by the Expatriate Management and Mobility Awards (EMMAs) sponsored by the Forum for Expatriate Management (FEM), are broadly considered to be the "Oscars" of the global mobility profession.

FEM brings all sides of the global mobility industry together including the International Human Resource and Global Mobility professionals, and sponsors the EMMAs at their annual U.S. Global Mobility Summit. The EMMAs are judged by an independent panel of global mobility directors.

"As the global benefits landscape grows increasingly complex and the needs of expatriates grow more sophisticated and varied, Cigna remains poised to address the challenges for multinational employers seeking to provide their globally mobile employees and families with the best health care coverage available in the world," said Robyn Cameron, senior vice president, Cigna Global Health Benefits. "We're extremely proud to continue to demonstrate our thought leadership in this area."

The panel of judges stated that, "While providing exceptional expatriate benefits, Cigna also understands the relevance of global benefits in the retention and attrition of assignees."

Varied products and services is an expectation in the industry, but delivering those with a commitment to serving the customers' needs and wants - at the right time - is what sets Cigna apart.

Sheldon Kenton, senior vice president, Cigna Employer Sales commented, "Cigna understands the myriad of challenges for multinational companies and global mobility managers seeking to develop global benefits packages that attract and retain their premium talent. We continue to satisfy our clients and customers by offering effective solutions and services that differentiate us from the competition."
