Operations Leadership Program Workgroups
Every associate in the Operations Leadership Program is asked to join a workgroup to help drive initiatives that support the program. Associates develop into leadership roles within their workgroups and are expected to partner with other workgroups to find ways to benefit the program. An associate can rotate into different workgroups throughout their involvement with the program. The three workgroups are:
- Program Optimization
- Brand and Relations
- Recruitment
Program Optimization
The Program Optimization Workgroup (POW) seeks to engage members of the program as a whole through monthly virtual meetings called huddles, which are used to learn from different parts of the organization through guest speakers, interactive activities and sharing program news. Additionally, POW partners with the Program Manager to develop learning and training opportunities for program associates and new hires.
Branding and Relations
The Branding and Relations Workgroup is focused on: community service & branding, digital engagement and matrix partner engagement. Through these areas of focus, associates in this workgroup work to leverage the value of the program to build and maintain relationships between current associates, alumni and senior leadership. This workgroup is also tasked to promote, recognize and showcase the OLP’s contributions to Cigna, our customers and the community.
Recruitment
The Recruitment Workgroup partners with Cigna's Early Career and Diversity Hiring to drive the OLP full-time and internship recruitment strategy. Associates in the workgroup engage candidates in new and creative ways so that Cigna's OLP stands out as top employer. In order to attract and maintain talented early career individuals, this workgroup mobilizes program associates across the country to build relationships on-campus with high potential candidates.
