Technology Early Career Development Program (TECDP) internships offer students interested in the field of technology a realistic experience of what it’s like to work in the Information Technology organization at Cigna. TECDP interns are assigned challenging positions and are expected to make meaningful contributions to Cigna projects.
The TECDP internships are designed to develop an individual’s IT and leadership skills, talents, and interests. TECDP interns hold various roles in systems analysis, application development, infrastructure engineering, project management, information protection, and production support. The specific tasks involved with these roles will differ based on the functional area of Cigna where the intern works.
The Technology Early Career Development Program partners with Drexel University and Northeastern University which offer a Cooperative Education (Co-Op) program. This partnership gives technology students hands-on experience in a professional environment. Students get an opportunity to participate in the day-to-day work and collaborate with experienced professionals to contribute to the many exciting initiatives at Cigna.
Co-op positions are available in the Philadelphia, PA; Bloomfield and Windsor, CT offices.
TECDP Co-Ops develop technical skills and business acumen while working as a member of the IT team supporting one of the Cigna lines of business. Co-Op roles and responsibilities could include developing new business applications, contributing in delivery management, supporting existing applications in production support, or ensuring the quality of new products in testing and engineering. With many different opportunities available, students have diverse options to match their current skills and interests.
