Cigna strongly believes in volunteering and giving back to the community and improving health is at the heart of everything we do. This includes improving the health of our communities. After all, serving others not only helps them, it makes you feel more satisfied, and healthier, too. We offer many opportunities for you to help others, such as:
- Use Your 8 Program: employees receive up to eight paid hours per year to volunteer for eligible organizations within their communities during working hours.
- Charitable Contributions Program: Cigna employees who run, bike or walk for a cause, can choose the charity and Cigna will make a $100 donation to their charity of choice.
- Volunteerism in the workplace: Cigna brings volunteerism to the workplace by inviting those in need to our offices, through programs such as Big Brothers, Big Sisters and the Holiday Party for the Homeless.
We have a dedicated Civic Affairs office that drives community support and offers options for all employees, and often their families, to get and stay involved in helping others. Additionally, summer interns have the unique opportunity to participate in an all‐day worthwhile volunteering event with their colleagues.
