Staff, Friends and Family Discounts
We provide all our staff the opportunity to buy our Cigna branded products at good discounts, and because we believe in our products so much we also extend this offer on our Cigna underwritten products to Friends and Family!
We have negotiated a competitive healthcare offer that includes benefits to employees and their immediate families.
Regular exercise is important, because we agree and we think it’s a good thing to do we help pay for your gym membership. Full-time employees are entitled to have 50% of their total annual fees up to maximum company contribution of $500 with no restriction on which gym you can be a member of.
Regular Occupational Health Nurse visits
We have an onsite occupational health nurse that visits regularly throughout the year provides a 15 minute basic check-up is available for all staff covering basic health statistics such as blood pressure, weight and height measurements and cholesterol.
We sponsor staff entry fees into selected community activities. This includes Cigna Round the Bays, an iconic Wellington sporting event run each year by Sport Wellington which has sold out for the last three years. It is the largest participation sport and recreation event in the lower North Island with the 2014 event seeing 14,100 registered participants. We also encourage staff to enter other sporting events such as the Auckland Marathon and the very popular Colour Run.
Opportunity to get a free flu jabs before the winter flu season, usually around April/May each year.
Employee Assistance Program
The Employee Assistance Program is provided to encourage employees with work related or personal problems to seek help. The program ensures all employees at all levels have the opportunity to obtain professional help in an atmosphere of privacy and confidentiality.
