Our global programs, Cignificant Moments, Quarterly Cigna Champions and Annual CEO’s Cigna Champions, recognize superior performance which significantly impacts Cigna’s business. Cigna Champions is an enterprise-wide recognition program for all employees that seek to promote and acknowledge positive employee behaviors and performance results.
Cigna Champions Recognition Committee selects winners of cash awards from submitted nominations each quarter.
The Annual Champions award is Cigna's most prestigious award presented to the best of the best – employees who have made a significant contribution to the success of the organization.

Thailand Specific Awards
Recognizes managers who embrace our values and demonstrate a level of excellence that is above and beyond the normal scope of their jobs. This award is limited to one manager per quarter.
Cigna Rising Star
The Cigna Star Award is a quarterly award that has traditionally has been awarded for the last 8 years. Employees who receive this award are nominated by a list of colleagues and supervisors. This award was given to Cigna employees who truly demonstrated Cigna’s company values.
The usual reward of Cigna Star Award is divided into two categories:
- Cigna Rising Star Award, given to the employee Band 1-2 (awarded to three persons per quarter).
- Cigna Star Award, given to the employee Band 3 and above (given to one person in each quarter).

Recognizes non-management and non-incentive eligible employees who embrace our values and demonstrate a level of excellence that is above and beyond the normal scope of their jobs (this may also be a team award as detailed below). This award is limited to three (or more) employees per quarter.
Cigna Star Team
Grant to a team of three or more non-management employees (maximum 25) who embrace our values and demonstrate a level of excellence that is above and beyond the normal scope of their jobs. This award is limited to 1 team per quarter.
Cigna Circle of Stars Award
Each year, the Chief Executive Officer and the Senior Leadership Team will select their country’s recipient from Cigna Rising Star winners. This prestigious award represents the “best of the best” - employees who have made a significant contribution to the success of the organization. This award is limited to one employee per annum.
Chairman’s Champion Awards
Chairman’s Champion Awards is the company’s first enterprise-wide recognition program that truly supports and reinforces our strategic imperatives. The program is consistent with our Healthy Careers…Healthy Returns philosophy and the aspirations the enterprise has for recognizing and compensating its top performers.
Chairman’s Champion Awards is open globally for nominations. This award recognizes individuals or teams who demonstrate superior performance that significantly impacts Cigna business and is awarded on a quarterly basis.
All quarterly winners receive a financial award and eligibility for the Annual Chairman’s Champion Awards. All employees are eligible to be nominated, regardless of their career band. The Employee Recognition Committee will select the award recipients.
