Maximizing the Value of Consumer-Driven Health Plans
Consumer-Driven Health Plans (CDHP) can be an effective way of reducing total medical cost. However, few studies have research showing the differences in customer experience that can be attributed to CDHP plans (health reimbursement accounts (HRA) and health savings accounts (HSA)), or been able to link the medical experience to customers' HSAs. In a Cigna study, we looked at demographics, income levels, medical claims, account information, and account spending to help dispel some misconceptions about CDHPs.
