Cigna-HealthSpring is committed to being the partner of choice for providers. The Chronic Care Quality Initiative (CCQI) team develops coding and documentation education for providers, designed to support clinicians in developing an accurate coding and documentation skill set. Precise coding and documentation supports high quality patient care delivery, with the hope of reducing administrative burdens to your practice and your Cigna patients.

Announcements

  • 2020 360 Exam Billing Guidelines - Starting in 2020, Cigna is standardizing billing for the 360 Comprehensive Assessment. This will expedite an automatic $20 payment to you, as well meet Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) requirements in the transition to Encounter Data Submissions (EDS). Reminder, 360 exams are at no additional cost to your Cigna Medicare Advantage patients.
  • Sensitive Diagnosis 2019 - The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (hhs.gov) and specific state laws provide explicit guidance when caring for those with diagnoses that are sensitive in nature. Utilizing the Sensitive Diagnosis flyer, which highlights lists of common sensitive codes, may improve documentation and coding of these diagnoses.
