As part of the process, plans and purchasers receive objective scores enabling comparison of plans against regional and national benchmarks and a roadmap for improvement. During face-to-face discussion of findings and roadmaps, plans learn how to align their strategies with purchaser expectations, to maximize the value of a purchaser’s health care investment and ultimately, improve health and quality of care.
Cigna participated in eValue8 for its PPO-type plans in eight markets: California, Colorado, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington and was the best performing PPO among respondents in those markets.
