Medicare Supplement Plan N

Medicare Supplement Plan N

Medicare Supplement Plan N

Medicare Supplement Plan N provides a similar level of coverage as Plan G, but generally costs less. There are 2 main differences:

  • With Plan N you are responsible for copayments up to $20 when you visit the doctor’s office (or up to $50 for emergency room visits).
  • Plan N also does not cover Part B excess charges, which is the additional amount a doctor may charge for services above what Medicare covers.

Plan N, as with Plan G, will not cover Part B cost until the Part B annual deductible is met.

The additional health expenses you may have to pay out of pocket with this plan correlate to a lower monthly premium.
