President, Strategy, Segments and Solutions, Cigna Corporation
Chris Hocevar was named President, Strategy, Segments and Solutions, Cigna Corporation in February 2017. In this role he is responsible for overseeing management and execution of the enterprise strategy, performance and growth in the U.S. employer segment business and U.S. Pharmacy, Dental, Behavioral, and Stop Loss specialty lines. He is responsible for overseeing development of core medical and specialty solutions that meet the unique needs of buyers of Cigna’s health services. Hocevar is also responsible for overseeing the use of analytics in strategic and solution development and customer and client engagement, and the growth opportunities for Cigna’s proprietary private exchange and benefit technology distribution channel.
He has been with Cigna since 2002 and has held numerous roles of progressive responsibility leading customer segments, specialty lines of business and operational units. Prior to his current role, Hocevar was President of Cigna’s Select Segment and Pharmacy Benefits Management business. Before joining Cigna, he worked in Deloitte Consulting’s global insurance practice.
Hocevar is on the Board of Directors of Shatterproof, the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association, and the YMCA of Greater Hartford, Connecticut.
He received an MBA from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and a B.A. in Accounting from the University of Toledo.
