Consumer-Driven Health Plans (CDHP) can be an effective way of reducing total medical cost. However, few studies research differences in the customer experience attributable to plan type, such as health reimbursement account (HRA) or health savings account (HSA) within the CDHP universe of offerings, or been able to link the medical experience to customers’ HSA accounts. In a Cigna study, we looked at demographics, income levels, medical claims, account information and account spending.
