Health Literacy Starts Here

Hundreds of kids have improved their reading and math skills since the "My Friend Taught Me" program inception in 1990. More importantly, the program has helped bolster the self-confidence of students and ignited their eagerness to learn. Students from Dominick F. Burns School arrive at CIGNA's Hartford and Bloomfield locations every week for one-on-one tutoring with their designated "friend". CIGNA is making a difference: one child at a time.
