Talk to a Doctor or Nurse 24/7
An earache at 2:00 am. Pink eye on a Sunday morning. If you can’t see your regular doctor, talking to a doctor or nurse using Cigna Telehealth Connection* is a fast, reliable option to get the care you need.
What is telehealth?
Telehealth (also known as telemedicine) is the use of technology such as computers and mobile devices to help you get health care from anywhere, anytime.
How does telehealth work?
Depending on your plan and location, eligible Cigna customers can connect 24/7 with board-certified doctors, licensed clinicians, or nurses through online video chat or phone.
Two options to meet your needs
Talk to a Nurse
If you’re not sure what type of care you need, talking on the phone with a nurse can help you determine the right care plan and is available at no additional cost to you
Online Doctor Visits
You can talk directly with a board-certified doctor through the phone, or video, for help with minor, non-life-threatening conditions. When medically necessary, they can have prescriptions sent directly to your local pharmacy
The benefits of telehealth
No Waiting Rooms
Get connected quickly. No more lost time in waiting rooms.
24/7 Live, On-Demand
On the Go
Talk to a doctor anytime, from any location, at your convenience.
Your out-of-pocket cost will be the same, or less, than a visit with your Primary Care Provider (PCP) and will usually cost less than going to an urgent care clinic, and much less than going to an emergency room. When you talk to a nurse about where to go for care, there’s no additional cost share.
Commonly Treated Conditions
- Colds and flu
- Sore throats
- Urinary Tract Infections (Females 18+)
- And more
- Bug bites
- Cold sores
* Participating telehealth providers program are independent contractors and separate from Plan network providers. Not all providers have video chat capabilities. Video chat is not available in all areas. PCP referral is not required. Refer to plan documents for a complete description of covered services, including other telehealth/telemedicine benefits. Program availability may vary by location and plan type.
A virtual consultation does not guarantee that a prescription will be written.
Telehealth services should only be used for non-life-threatening conditions. These services are not intended to replace your PCP or current medical specialist. It's important that you continue to see your regular doctors.
