Cigna Group Health Plans

OAP (Open Access Plus)*

A large, seamless national network of quality providers and facilities with competitive network discounts. Plus, the option to choose a primary care provider to coordinate care and no referral requirements.

PPO (Preferred Provider Organization)

A large, national network similar to OAP, but offers more choice with flexibility for out-of-network care.

LocalPlus®

Plans that give employees access to a focused, limited network of quality and cost effective providers and facilities, while still providing the security of having access to Away from Home Care.

Cigna SureFit®

Customizable plans to meet the needs of each employee and employer in very select service areas.

HMO (Health Maintenance Organization)

Designed around a focused set of quality, cost-effective providers and facilities in certain local service areas.

Indemnity Plans (Network Savings Program)

With no network requirements, gives employees freedom to see any licensed provider or facility, and never need a referral to see a specialist.

Our medical plans are divided into 2 main networks types: Large National Access and Local Solutions.

Large National Access Network

Provides employees with access to a large national network of quality providers and facilities. Employees have the choice to stay in-network or go out-of-network, but going out-of-network leads to higher out-of-pocket costs. Includes OAP and PPO plans.
